As a Curriculum Manager for Engineering and Electrical with Redcar and Cleveland College you will be responsible for the recruitment of students/delegates to a designated area of the curriculum, including the marketing and promotion of the programme area and school and employer liaison. To be responsible for the quality and outcomes arising from teaching, learning, assessment and guidance and support within the programme area, including key or functional skills, attendance, retention, achievement, value added, progression and destinations. To ensure that student/delegate safety, enjoyment and success is at the heart of planning and delivery. To plan and manage resources in order to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality teaching and learning within the designated programme area. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Partnerships Administrator Apprentice to join our Adult Skills and Partnerships team reporting to our Partnerships Manager. Voted Winner of the ‘Exceptional Team/Group’ category at the Etc. Staff Awards 2023, the Adult Skills and Partnerships Team are a small hardworking and friendly team that contribute to local skills development in their work on key initiatives including niche partnership delivery.
As a Partnerships Administrator Apprentice with Etc. you will be responsible for a full and varied range of administrative support tasks, including compliance checking and processing of enrolment and achievement paperwork in line with funding agency rules. You will utilise your telephone and communications skills taking referrals and assisting in the recruitment of learners to subcontracted courses whilst maintaining databases and spreadsheets as required by the Partnerships Manager. In addition to this, you will gain the experience of assisting in internal and external sub-contracting funding audits and also developing working relationships with referral agencies, subcontractors and relevant Etc. staff. This is a fast paced and varied role, ideal for a flexible and responsive individual.
The ideal candidate will be organised, have a positive ‘can-do’ approach, the ability to work to high levels or accuracy and attention to detail and to be willing to learn and develop.
Experience of using computerised systems and technologies is essential but previous experience will not be required and full training will be provided. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Skills Hub Manager to join our Business Engagement team reporting to our Group Marketing and Business Engagement Director.
As a Regional Skills Hub Manager with Etc. you will be responsible for:
Working with the ECITB, Etc. colleagues and other stakeholders to develop the regional skills hub across the Tees Valley. You will also create and implement structured programs in welding, pipefitting, plating, and mechanical disciplines in response to employer demand. By building and maintaining relationships with employers, education providers, and industry organizations you will promote and recruit for our program, as well as leading the recruitment of students across a variety of pathways and funding streams. Through attending networking events you will raise the profile of the Regional Skills Hub and connect with key stakeholders. You will work with the marketing team to support campaigns that boost program enrolment. By staying up to date on government policies that affect apprenticeships and workplace learning, you will ensure compliance with all relevant policies. You will also be able to manage departmental budgets efficiently.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to achieve demanding performance targets, with a sound understanding of further education, higher education and how this aligns with the local skills needs of the area. With skills in using ICT for tracking performance, delivering presentations, and management reporting, the candidate will have experience in collating the utilising labour market intelligence effectively to inform plans for future growth. As a natural communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, the candidate will possess the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, businesses, and stakeholders. The ability to work flexibly and reliably under pressure and meet deadlines is crucial to the role.
Ideally, you will have relevant qualification in welding, plating, electrical, mechanical engineering, or project leadership is required, as well as a proven track record in stakeholder engagement and program development, particularly in training sectors. They will also have experience in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
